Mariachi Sol Mixteco is a professional, family-owned mariachi band based in White Plains, New York. Founded in 2009 by the Navarro family, the group was built on a deep passion for music, culture, and the desire to keep the traditions of Mexico alive through every performance.

From an early age, siblings Christopher and Leslie Navarro grew into the world of mariachi, performing alongside their parents and developing not only their musical talent, but a deep respect for the art form. What began as a family project soon became a lifelong mission—one rooted in heritage, discipline, and love for their culture.

Over the years, Mariachi Sol Mixteco has brought the rich tradition of Mexican mariachi music to life for diverse audiences—Latino and non-Latino alike—creating unforgettable moments filled with joy, emotion, and authenticity.

In 2021, Christopher Navarro stepped into a leadership role as director, guiding the mariachi into a new era while honoring its roots. Under his direction, the group continues to evolve—balancing tradition with a modern, professional approach that resonates with every audience.

A key part of the group’s story is Leslie Navarro, a talented violinist and vocalist who began her journey at a young age alongside her brother. While she is currently focused on her growing family, her presence remains an essential part of the mariachi’s legacy. She looks forward to returning in the future to continue the tradition and pass it on to the next generation.

Our musicians wear authentic charro suits and perform with passion, professionalism, and care, always adapting the repertoire to the spirit and energy of each event.

We are proud to have performed for major companies including PepsiCo, Google, McDonald's, The New York Times, Arizona Co., and iHeart Radio, as well as on national television with NBC Sports Network and Food Network. We’ve also shared the stage with recognized talents such as George Lopez and Marcela Valladolid from The Kitchen.
